About the Role

This temporary position involves ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained. You will work closely with the Site Manager and Senior Caretaker to handle day-to-day site responsibilities. Your role will contribute to a positive and functional environment for staff and students alike.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager and Senior Caretaker with daily site management tasks.
• Address Health & Safety concerns promptly, ensuring the school environment is safe for all.
• Secure and lock the school premises, including keyholding responsibilities.
• Maintain and operate heating, lighting, and plumbing systems as directed.
• Liaise with contractors on-site to ensure work is completed effectively.
• Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and securing windows.
• Clear hazards like spilt chemicals or broken glass and keep paved areas and playgrounds tidy.
• Assist with porterage duties and setting up for school events.
• Comply with Health & Safety at Work Regulations, ensuring safe practices at all times.
