About the Role
This is a temporary position providing cover for the school's caretaker. You’ll be responsible for opening the site at 6.00am and helping to keep the school running smoothly throughout the day. Tasks will include general maintenance, DIY, site safety checks, and keeping areas clear and tidy. Some seasonal duties, such as gritting pathways, may also be required.
Your Responsibilities
- Opening up the school site each morning
- Carrying out general repairs, maintenance and DIY tasks
- Helping to keep all areas clear and tidy
- Supporting site safety and security routines
- Reporting any hazards or issues promptly
- Assisting with occasional porterage or deliveries
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, professional and proactive approach
- Practical DIY skills and the ability to carry out basic maintenance
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school setting
- Commitment to compliance and health & safety requirements
