About the Role
This is a temporary caretaker position in a large, bustling school site with three buildings to look after. The role involves a blend of compliance checks, DIY, and ongoing site maintenance. You'll play a key part in keeping all areas clear and tidy, and making sure the premises remain safe and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Your Responsibilities
- Carrying out regular compliance and health & safety checks across the site
- Responding to minor repairs and general maintenance tasks (DIY)
- Supporting site security, including locking/unlocking and monitoring access
- Keeping internal and external areas clear and tidy
- Liaising with contractors and reporting any site issues as needed
- Assisting with room setups and moving furniture or equipment when required
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
- DIY and general maintenance skills
- Some experience working on busy or multi-building sites is helpful
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school environment
- Good communication skills and a helpful attitude
