Caretaker – Secondary School (Temporary) – Warwickshire

Join us as a caretaker based in the Warwickshire area, supporting a local secondary school with a range of essential site tasks. This varied role involves setting up for school events and activities, keeping areas clear and tidy through regular litter picking, carrying out general maintenance and basic DIY, assisting with porterage, and supporting with general site duties. You’ll play a key part in making sure the school environment is safe, well-organised, and welcoming for everyone.

Salary: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Setting up rooms and spaces for events, assemblies, and activities
Litter picking and keeping all areas clear and tidy
Basic DIY and general maintenance tasks
Porterage and assisting with moving equipment or deliveries
General site duties as needed to support the smooth running of the school

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
Practical DIY skills and confidence with general maintenance
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school setting
Friendly and flexible attitude, able to work well with others
