About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school based in the Warwickshire area. This is a temporary position with flexible shift options: either a split shift (7am–10am and 2.30pm–6pm) or a single shift (11.30am–6pm). You will oversee a wide range of site responsibilities, including working with the cleaning team, supporting all aspects of site safety, maintenance, and security. Duties cover everything from unlocking and locking up, minor repairs, keeping areas clear and tidy, ensuring facilities are safe, and assisting with any on-site needs throughout the day.

Your Responsibilities
- Opening and securing the school premises at the start and end of the day
- Keeping all areas clear and tidy, including outdoor spaces
- Carrying out minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks
- Monitoring site security and reporting any issues
- Supporting and coordinating with the cleaning team
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and safeguarding requirements
- Helping with deliveries and porterage as needed
- Responding promptly to any on-site issues or emergencies
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to work
- Practical DIY skills and confidence in basic maintenance
- Understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work with children, staff, and visitors
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
