Caretaker – Secondary School (Trafford)

Join us for a rewarding role as a Caretaker based in the Trafford area. This is an opportunity to help keep a local secondary school running smoothly during term time. Your main duties will include carrying out compliance checks and keeping records, carrying out maintenance and repairs around the site, and ensuring the security of the premises. You’ll work Monday to Friday, choosing from either a 7:30am–3:30pm or 8am–4pm shift.

Pay: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly

Your Responsibilities

Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs across the school site
Completing compliance checks and keeping accurate records
Ensuring the site is secure at the start and end of the day
Keeping areas clear and tidy to provide a safe environment for students and staff
Responding promptly to requests from school staff

What we're looking for

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to work
Good DIY skills and confidence with basic repairs
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school setting
Clear communication and willingness to work as part of a team
