Caretaker – Secondary School (Sheffield)

Join us for a vital role at a secondary school based in the Sheffield area. As a caretaker, you will be responsible for general caretaking duties, supporting basic DIY and general maintenance, and ensuring the school site and grounds remain clean, safe, and tidy for pupils and staff. You’ll play an important part in maintaining routine health & safety and compliance checks, liaise with contractors on site, and respond to day-to-day issues as they arise. There is no requirement to open or lock up the school.

Pay: £13.45 per hour (£15.07 per hour including rolled up holiday pay). Monthly payment.

Your Responsibilities

General caretaking duties around the school
Meeting and liaising with contractors as required
Basic DIY and general maintenance
Routine health & safety and compliance checks
Keeping the site and grounds clear and tidy
Responding to day-to-day site issues
Supporting the general upkeep of the premises
