About the Role
A primary school based in the Sandwell area is looking for a proactive caretaker for a temporary position. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the site is always safe, welcoming, and well-presented for pupils, staff, and visitors. Working Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday from either 2:30 to 6pm or 3pm to 6pm, your work will focus on keeping areas clear and tidy, emptying playground bins, and securing the site at the end of the day.

Your Responsibilities
- Keeping outdoor and indoor areas clear and tidy
- Emptying playground bins and disposing of waste safely
- Locking up the school site securely at the end of shift
- Carrying out basic DIY and routine caretaking tasks as needed
- Reporting any issues or repairs to school staff promptly
- Following health & safety and safeguarding procedures at all times

- Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to work
- Confidence with basic DIY skills and practical problem-solving
- Good understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school environment
- Friendly and approachable communication style
