Caretaker – Primary School (Temporary, Rotherham)

Join us as a caretaker supporting a friendly primary school based in the Rotherham area. This role is ideal for those who enjoy varied tasks, such as unlocking the school each morning, gritting pathways during colder weather, keeping outdoor areas clear and tidy, taking deliveries, and carrying out minor repairs and DIY jobs. You will play an important part in keeping the school safe and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Pay: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), monthly payment.

Your Responsibilities

Unlocking the school at the start of each day
Gritting pathways when needed
Clearing leaves and keeping grounds tidy
Taking deliveries efficiently and safely
Grounds maintenance, including weeding and litter picking
Basic DIY and carrying out minor repairs

What we're looking for

Reliable, professional, and proactive attitude
DIY and basic maintenance skills
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding in schools
Awareness of compliance and health & safety standards
