Caretaker – Secondary School (Temporary) – Rochdale

Join us for a rewarding opportunity as a caretaker at a secondary school based in the Rochdale area. Your role will include maintaining the school site, litter picking, as well as opening and closing the school to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely throughout the day. Shift patterns are 6am–2pm or 10am–6pm, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Pay: £13.45 per hour (£15.07 per hour including rolled up holiday), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Keeping areas clear and tidy around the school grounds
Carrying out basic maintenance and DIY tasks
Litter picking and supporting a safe environment for students and staff
Opening and closing the school at scheduled times
Reporting any issues or hazards promptly

What we're looking for

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
DIY skills for basic site maintenance
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school environment
Good communication and a team spirit
