We are looking for a proactive Caretaker to join a friendly primary school based in the Reading area. This is a temporary opportunity, perfect for someone who enjoys keeping areas clear and tidy, carrying out day-to-day site maintenance, and supporting a welcoming school community. This role offers flexible breaks and an early finish on Fridays, with monthly payment and straightforward working hours.

Your Responsibilities
- Maintaining school grounds and buildings, ensuring all areas are safe and presentable for pupils and staff
- Undertaking basic DIY repairs and routine maintenance
- Managing deliveries and supporting with site security (locking/unlocking as required)
- Keeping outside areas free of litter and hazards
- Assisting with room setups for school events and activities
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly
What we're looking for
- Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to all tasks
- Confident with basic DIY and general maintenance duties
- Understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school environment
- Friendly and approachable, with a real interest in making a difference for children and staff
