Caretaker – Primary School (Oldham)

Make a difference to your local community by supporting a friendly primary school based in the Oldham area. This role involves unlocking and locking the school, carrying out a range of DIY and maintenance tasks, and ensuring health & safety standards are met each day. You’ll work a split shift, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on start and finish times to suit you.

Salary: £13.45 per hour (£15.07 per hour including rolled up holiday pay)
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30–10:30am & 2:00–5:50pm (can accommodate 7am start/5:30pm finish if needed)

Your Responsibilities

Unlocking and locking school premises at the start and end of the day
Carrying out minor DIY and site maintenance tasks
Completing daily risk assessment and health & safety checks
Keeping areas clear and tidy throughout the site
Reporting any issues or hazards as they arise

Understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety
