Caretaker – Primary School (Oldham)

We are looking for a proactive caretaker to support a primary school based in the Oldham area. This role involves unlocking and locking the school each day, carrying out DIY and maintenance tasks as needed, and ensuring the site is safe through regular risk assessment and health & safety checks. Salary: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Opening and securing the school premises each day
Carrying out minor repairs and general DIY tasks
Regular risk assessment checks across the site
Monitoring and logging health & safety checks
Keeping areas clear and tidy as needed

What We're Looking For

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
DIY and basic maintenance skills
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and compliance
Good awareness of health & safety responsibilities
