Caretaker – Flexible Hours – Primary School – Luton

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a friendly primary school based in the Luton area. This flexible role can be part time or full time to suit your availability. As a valued member of the school team, you’ll deal with a range of maintenance issues, help keep areas clear and tidy with daily litter picking, support compliance work, and assist with portering deliveries as needed. Your contribution will help create a safe, welcoming environment for children and staff.

Pay rate: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Routine maintenance and minor repairs across the school site
Litter picking and keeping outside areas clear and tidy
Supporting compliance work and health & safety checks
Portering deliveries and moving furniture or equipment
Reporting any site issues promptly

Awareness of health & safety requirements
