Caretaker – Kent (Temporary)

We're looking for a reliable and proactive caretaker to join a friendly school team based in the Kent area. This role involves a mix of caretaking, DIY, and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the premises remain safe and welcoming for students and staff. Working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Carrying out basic repairs and DIY around the school site
Keeping areas clear and tidy, both indoors and outdoors
Conducting regular site checks and routine maintenance
Supporting the smooth running of school operations
Reporting any site issues promptly

What we're looking for

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
Good DIY and basic maintenance skills
Understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety responsibilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
