Caretaker in Hertfordshire

Caretaker – Primary School, Hertfordshire (Temporary)

We are looking for a dedicated caretaker to join a friendly primary school based in the Hertfordshire area. This is a responsible position where you will have sole responsibility for the premises and site management, including opening and closing the building each day. You will help keep all areas clear and tidy, ensure the safety and security of the site, and be a visible, reassuring presence for staff and pupils.

Pay: £13.45 per hour (£15.07 per hour including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the school building according to schedule
• Keeping the premises secure and monitoring site safety
• Carrying out basic DIY tasks and minor repairs
• Maintaining external areas and ensuring pathways are clear and tidy
• Supporting staff and helping maintain a safe environment for pupils
• Reporting any issues to school leadership promptly
