Caretaker – Secondary School (Dudley)

Looking for a flexible and rewarding way to help your community thrive? We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to support a busy secondary school based in the Dudley area. This role involves a mix of general DIY and site upkeep, porterage, unlocking and locking the school site for early and late shifts, and supporting with general maintenance tasks. Occasionally, you may assist with simple minibus checks, where suitable.

Salary: £13.45-£14.80 per hour (£15.07-£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

General maintenance and DIY tasks across the school site
Keeping areas clear and tidy
Porterage duties
Unlocking and locking the site when working early or late shifts
Supporting with basic minibus maintenance, where suitable
Site checks and ensuring safe, compliant environments for staff and students

What We're Looking For

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to work
Practical DIY skills and experience with general maintenance
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety
Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a small team
