Caretaker – Derbyshire (Temporary)

We are looking for a reliable and proactive caretaker to join a school based in the Derbyshire area. This role involves unlocking and locking up the premises, carrying out compliance checks and completing ad hoc maintenance tasks to help keep school areas clear and tidy. Our preferred hours are 6am-8am and 4pm-6pm, but there is some flexibility to discuss the work pattern.

Pay: £13.45-£14.80 per hour (£15.07-£16.59 including rolled up holiday pay), paid monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Unlocking and locking up the school premises at agreed times
Carrying out regular compliance tasks as required
Completing minor repairs and ad hoc maintenance
Helping to keep all areas clear and tidy for pupils, staff, and visitors
Reporting any site issues promptly

What we're looking for

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
Experience with basic DIY and site maintenance
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school environment
Awareness of compliance and health & safety standards
