Caretaker – Primary School (Temporary) – Blackpool

Join a friendly primary school team based in the Blackpool area as a Caretaker. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to make a meaningful difference in a school community. You’ll be responsible for site unlocking each morning, general maintenance, keeping areas clear and tidy, and responding to any emergency cleaning needs that come up during the day. Working hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay: £13.45 per hour (£15.07 per hour including rolled up holiday pay). Payment is made monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Unlocking and securing the school site each day
General day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
Keeping indoor and outdoor areas clear and tidy
Responding to emergency cleaning needs as required
Monitoring site safety and reporting any issues
Supporting the smooth running of school operations

What We're Looking For

Reliable, professional and proactive approach
Good DIY and basic maintenance skills
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and compliance in schools
Awareness of health & safety in a school environment
Clear communication and a friendly manner
