Caretaker – Primary School (Temporary)

Based in the Blackpool area

We are looking for a reliable, proactive individual to support a primary school in Blackpool as a temporary caretaker. This role involves early starts to unlock the site, carrying out general maintenance, keeping areas clear and tidy, and responding to emergencies during the school day. You’ll play a key part in creating a safe, welcoming environment for staff and pupils.

Pay: £13.45–£14.80 per hour (£15.07–£16.59 including rolled-up holiday pay). Payment is made monthly.

Your Responsibilities

Unlocking and securing the school site each day
Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance
Ensuring all areas are kept clear and tidy
Responding quickly to urgent requests or emergencies
Supporting the smooth running of daily school operations

What We're Looking For

Reliable, professional and proactive attitude
Good DIY and maintenance skills
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety in a school setting
Ability to communicate well with staff, pupils, and visitors
