Caretaker – Birmingham (Temporary)

We are looking for a reliable and proactive caretaker to join a school based in the Birmingham area. In this role, you’ll be a key holder and take responsibility for site safety, security, and daily upkeep. You’ll be leading and working as part of a team to keep areas clear and tidy, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Salary: £13.45 per hour (£15.07 per hour including rolled up holiday pay)
Working Hours: 7am – 1pm, Monday to Friday

Your Responsibilities

Opening and securing the school site as a key holder
Keeping all areas clear and tidy, both inside and outside the school
Leading and working as part of the team to maintain standards across the site
Carrying out general repairs and basic maintenance
Ensuring health & safety standards are met at all times
Supporting with site security and compliance checks

What We're Looking For

Reliable, professional, and proactive approach
DIY and basic maintenance skills
Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety
Experience working as part of a team
Good communication skills
