Team TIB Takes on the 13 Bridges Challenge for SSAFA
At TIB Services, we’re proud to support those who’ve served. That’s why on Saturday 28 June, six of us from head office will be lacing up our walking boots and taking on the 13 Bridges Challenge across London, a 10-mile route from Tower Bridge to Battersea, crossing every major bridge along the way.

We’re doing it to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, whose work supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families makes a real difference every day.

Why SSAFA?
SSAFA provides lifelong support to the Armed Forces community, from financial assistance and mental health services to practical help with housing, employment and family life. Their work directly benefits the very people we work alongside: military veterans transitioning into meaningful civilian roles.
Many of our candidates and colleagues have military backgrounds, so this is a cause that’s close to our hearts. Whether it’s helping someone find purpose after service or supporting families during times of change, SSAFA is there and we want to help them go further.
Strengthening our commitment to the Armed Forces community
In 2024, we were honoured to receive the Business Scale Up Award at the Soldiering On Awards, recognised for our commitment to helping military veterans find meaningful work on civvy street.
We know that making the leap from military to civilian life can feel daunting, but we also know how much value veterans bring to the workplace. From problem-solving to teamwork, reliability to resilience, these are exactly the qualities that make for brilliant school caretakers.
If you’re thinking about your next step after service, we’ve written a guide to how military veterans can transition into school caretaking focusing on your transferable skills and how we can support you.
Help us go the distance
We’re taking on this challenge to show our support and raise vital funds for a charity that truly matters. Whether you can give £5 or £50, your donation will help SSAFA continue their incredibly important work.
