On Monday 14th April, our team visited Rainbows to redecorate the staff area — a space where the hardworking team take much-needed breaks from their emotionally demanding roles.
Natalie Carr, Facilities Officer at Rainbows, shared: “The two volunteers did an absolutely brilliant job with the painting they completed. I went to see how they were getting on and they had already completed the job! They were fantastic.”
One of our volunteers, Gary, reflected on the day: “It’s always great to help others where and whenever possible. Hopefully a brighter staff area will make a big difference to the hardworking team at Rainbows.”

Just a day later, on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th April, another team from TIB got to work at Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Coventry. They redecorated the admissions room, where families first meet their nurse and begin their care journey, and the staff kitchen, which doubles as a break room and informal meeting space.
One of our volunteers, also called Gary, added: “I really enjoyed meeting and working with other TIB workers. It was great to contribute my time to a worthy community cause.”

We launched our volunteering service in 2024 to give our operatives another way to make a meaningful difference in their local communities.
